Join members and friends of the DC Preservation League at the Historic LeDroit Building to celebrate the organization’s critical role as the leading advocate for the preservation and protection of the irreplaceable historic resources of the District of Columbia. Revenue raised from tickets and sponsorships bolsters DCPL’s advocacy efforts to protect Washington’s historic and cultural resources from demolition or ill-advised alteration and helps underwrite outreach and educational programming throughout our community.

The LeDroit Building at 800 F Street, NW, was built in 1875 after the completion of the large-scale municipal improvements undertaken by the Board of Public Works in 1871-74. Surrounded by grand-scale architecture like the old Patent Office (now the National Portrait Gallery) and the General Post Office, when it was built, the 800 block of F Street introduced a varied facade which enhanced the qualities of those larger buildings and the L’Enfant plan. It is one of the city’s oldest office buildings and a major work of local architect James McGill.

Individual Tickets: $135
Sponsorships: $500+
