The 2019 Capitol Hill House and Garden Tour features 15 of the most beautiful and creative homes and elegant city gardens in a walkable area from Eastern Market metro plaza to around Lincoln Park. Included are gardens noted for their imagination and artistry, a townhouse filled with art and creative whimsy, an award-winning converted industrial building, and grand historic residences. Mini-tours of Gessford Court, one of the city’s most interesting small streets, will take place each day. On Sunday afternoon, the Eastern High School band – the Blue and White Marching Machine – will entertain us. Complimentary refreshments and a rest stop are available during tour hours: Saturday, May 11, 4 pm – 7 pm; Sunday, May 12, 1 pm – 5 pm. Tickets $40, $35 in advance.
